History

CFS Group, LLC founding partner, Brenda Williams, began by helping friends that were struggling financially.  Based on the premise of helping people get out of debt by use of a plan, people were successful in turning their lives around working their way out of debt.  They encouraged her to “do this as a business.”  What a great idea! 

The company was founded in 2002.   Shortly thereafter, Brenda Williams went in search of a partner that shared her vision and Karin Greewood is that person and partner.  The Holland  office was opened shortly thereafter.  In an effort to spread the word and help more people, we expanded into Grand Rapids.

In 2004 both partners went through the Dave Ramsey Certified Counselor Training and added more tools to help their clients. 

 

In 2010, CFS Group LLC moved from the Holland office to a Zeeland office.

Both members of CFS have enjoyed being an active part of the Holland Chamber of Commerce, working on the Small Business Day Committee.  Both Brenda and Karin have been past presidents of this committee.  We are currently active with businesses in the community teaching classes and mentoring employees as well as business owners.
